Athletics - Assistant Director of Sport Performance

The Bradley University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional for the position of Assistant Director of Sport Performance.

This full time, twelve month coaching position encompasses collaborative efforts with the Director of Sport Performance in strength and conditioning program design and implementation for 200+ student-athletes in all 15 sports; involving education and instruction on proper lifting technique, speed development, agility training, flexibility, nutrition, and recovery methods.  Primarily responsible for upholding the values and mission of Bradley Athletics, providing every student-athlete the opportunity for both a distinctive education and a championship experience, pertaining to performance enhancement and injury prevention through implementation of research based training.

A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred.  One to three years of strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate environment is also preferred.  The successful candidate must possess significant expertise within the strength and conditioning field; excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; the ability to motivate student-athletes and work cooperatively with coaches and the sport medicine staff; a commitment to excellence and value of education; familiarity and comfort working in an environment with a strong academic commitment; and sensitivity to cultural differences. Proficiency with computer applications, general office software and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.  Certification by CSCS, USAW and/or CSCCa is necessary.  CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire.
