Computing Services - Systems Integration Specialist
The Systems Integration Specialist in Computing Services at Bradley University will perform tasks associated with systems integration and user account management including directory services and Java Programming. Requirements include working in a team to plan, document, maintain and ensure application integration and integrity with enterprise-wide applications. The position will work extensively with LDAP, active directory, and campus databases.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience required. A successful applicant should possess experience with Java programming, OpenLDAP/LDAP (schema design with custom attributeTypes and objectClasses), Active Directory, Apache/Tomcat/IIS and SQL, as well as have effective interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with Ubuntu and Windows preferred.
The duties of this position can be summarized as follows:
- Maintain LDAP for authentication and data needs to feed systems like Sakai, Portal, SSO, etc.
- Interfacing/integration/synchronization between databases, AD, and OpenLDAP
- Coordinate and maintain SSL certificates and their deployment in LDAP, AD, and Java.
- Write programs/scripts to support campus account management needs.
- Perform routine MySQL and postgreSQL DBA functions.
- Assist System Administrators as required.
- Support external Customer Offices and internal Computing Services staff as needed.
