Biology - Temporary Laboratory Technician

Bradley University invites applications for a temporary part-time Laboratory Technician in the Department of Biology.  This position is available immediately for the Spring 2013 Semester and ends May 31, 2013.

The technician will be responsible for operation and maintenance of ongoing experiments, and use and maintenance of instruments such as a nutrient auto analyzer, CHN-GC, and portable photosynthesis system.  The technician will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment, support in grant writing and research, fieldwork and supervision of research students for projects in support of the Department’s Multi-Scale Ecological research Group. 

The successful candidate must have completed all the requirements for a MS in Biology or closely related field by the start date.  Persons with BS in Biology or closely related field and significant experience commensurate with duties outlined will be considered.  Strong computer and data management skills and previous experience with the laboratory equipment listed above are required.  GPS and remote sensing skills are preferred.  The technician must be able to work independently.
