Athletics - Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Department of Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.

This full time, twelve month position will assist with the provision of medical care and comprehensive athletic training services for men’s soccer and men’s and women’s golf; provide athletic training coverage for assigned sports; maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments, formulate effective therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation plans; and make referrals to interact regularly with team physicians, coaching and administrative staff.

A Bachelor’s degree is required.  A Master’s degree preferred.  In addition, one to three years of athletic training experience in a collegiate environment is also preferred.  NATA/BOC certification and current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is required.  The candidate must be eligible for an Illinois state license.  The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences.  Proficiency with computer applications; general office software and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations are required.  Must be able to work irregular hours and weekends.
