Marketing and Publications - Assistant Director

The Assistant Director of Marketing & Publications assists in the development of university marketing collateral, including print publications and website content. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism or a related field required. Will work with editors, graphic designers and photographers. 

Must be a published writer and excellent/accurate copy editor and proofreader.  Requires knowledge of printing and production processes and a strong sense of design. Five to seven years of experience in a similar position is preferred.  Reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Marketing & Publications.

The Assistant Director of Marketing & Publications will work closely with the Associate Vice President for Marketing & Publications on initiatives that support the mission of the University and move it towards its goal of national distinction.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well with all levels of staff. An ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple projects (content, budget and deadlines) simultaneously is essential.

Will develop marketing and promotional pieces, assist as needed with Web content creation, and prepare feature stories/news items for the University’s alumni magazine.
