 The Department of Student Activities invites applications for the position of Newspaper Advisor.

Bradley’s Newspaper, The Scout, has had success competing in their division. Bradley is looking for an advisor that will continue the successes and improve upon the current foundation. The advisor is charged with not only serving as a resource to the editors, but also working with the many business aspects of the newspaper, including advertising, budgeting and billing. The newspaper advisor must be able to represent Bradley University in a positive manner, serve as a positive role model to the newspaper staff, and uphold and follow the Bradley University student handbook.

Past newspaper experience at the collegiate level preferred. Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; proficiency with computer applications; a commitment to excellence and sensitivity to cultural differences.

Review of applications will begin May 15th and continue until the position is filled. This is a part-time position; therefore it is not benefits eligible. Compensation is provided by stipend. Employment with Bradley University is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
