In conjunction with the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: the strategic direction, oversight, coordination, leadership and active participation in the revenue generating and external functions of the Department.  These areas include: the Braves Club, Alumni B-Club, Development, Ticketing (Season, individual and group sales), Corporate Sponsorship and sales, Branding and Licensing, Marketing and promotions, social media and Internet, and radio and television integration.  This position is also be responsible for supervision of staff members in these external areas while serving as a member of the Department’s senior leadership team and the Department’s senior staff member regarding external operations.  This person will work closely with University President and Vice President for Development regarding athletic fund raising opportunities, donor relations and stewardship as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's Degree is required, Masters or a terminal degree desirable.  Minimum five years experience at an NCAA Division I institution or conference or in professional sports, with responsibilities for leading an external unit(s) with revenue generating expectations (e.g. marketing, ticketing, development, corporate sponsorship, etc.) and/or experience at an executive level that demonstrates the potential for successful leadership of external affairs in a collegiate environment.  The successful candidate must have the ability to effectively and creatively manage complex issues and relationships; hire, supervise, lead and motivate staff, and develop, analyze and meet revenue targets. They must show strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and self-motivation, extroverted personality and excellent written and oral communication skills.  They must be willing to lead while also contributing in a hands-on manner as necessary.  They must also be willing to uphold the mission and values of Bradley Athletics and adhere to NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and University rules and policies. The Associate Director must possess and retain a current valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record while in the position.
