EHS - Licensure Officer and Clinical Coordinator

The College of Education and Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time Licensure Officer/Clinical Coordinator position in education.  Responsibilities include overseeing the state licensure process, working closely with the Education Units’ faculty and students and the Illinois State Board of Education’s liaison, overseeing all pre-clinical and clinical placements in teacher education, preparing university supervisors and cooperating teachers, and providing data for state and national reports. 

A masters’ degree in education or closely related field and experience in a school setting is required.  Experience as a cooperating teacher and with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approval process is preferred.  The successful candidate will also contribute in developing curriculum to meet state and national education standards and clinical assessments, be able to negotiate contract items and/or written agreements with agencies and schools and take responsibility for public relations with the field.  Maintaining a valid driver’s license and vehicular insurance is required.

This is a 12-month administrative professional staff position. Salary and benefits are competitive.
