This twelve-month, full-time position is responsible for assisting with all phases of a Division I men’s soccer program with significant administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach to include: recruiting (domestic and abroad), coaching of individual and team training sessions, scouting of opponents, match/training performance analysis, weekly monitoring of student-athlete academic performance, travel coordination and scheduling, and budgeting and communication with vendors/suppliers for all equipment needs. Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to: student managerial/video coordinator supervision and scheduling, external event management and onsite supervision, practice/match venue maintenance supervision and scheduling. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in the organization, supervision, on-field coaching and training, and all administrative responsibilities for the Central Illinois Soccer Academy camps/clinics and its comprehensive and competitive High School Boys Club Soccer Program.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Playing experience at the collegiate level or similar experience is required and coaching at the NCAA collegiate level strongly preferred. Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; position requires substantial daily use of multiple computer applications; experience with computer based match analysis, video editing, recruiting software, and MS Office is strongly preferred; a commitment to excellence and sensitivity to cultural differences and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Full support of the Mission and Core Values of the Department of Athletics is required. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. Salary commensurate with experience.
