ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ACCOUNTING

 

The Foster College of Business invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Accounting.

Bradley University is a distinctive, medium-size, comprehensive private institution of higher learning. The University is located on an 85-acre campus in Peoria, the largest metropolitan area in central Illinois. With approximately 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students, Bradley offers the opportunities and choices of a larger university (with over 130 programs in five colleges, plus a graduate school) and the quality, personal attention, and challenge of a small private college. The Department of Accounting has separate AACSB accounting accreditation.  It offers baccalaureate and master’s degrees in accounting.  Additionally, the Department is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Internal Audit education Partnership program.

A PhD or DBA or near completion with emphasis in accounting is required.  Professional certification (CPA, CMA or CIA) and work experience are desirable.  Primary teaching needs are in Auditing, Financial Accounting, and/or Accounting Information Systems.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly research is required for Tenure and Promotion.  Salary is AACSB competitive.  Position is available Fall of 2013 with teaching opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
