Mechanical Engineering - Assistant Professor

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applicants for the position of a tenure-track Assistant Professor in one or more areas of mechanical design, solid mechanics, material science or machine dynamics.  This appointment will be effective August 2013.  The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or equivalent and exhibit a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and instructional laboratories.  The University and Peoria area offer many opportunities for collaborative research and teaching activities in which the successful candidate would be encouraged to participate.
