Engineering - Full-Time Temporary Instructor in Mechanical Engineering
Bradley University invites applications for two Instructors beginning August 2014. The positions will be at the rank of Temporary Instructor. The positions are full-time appointments on 9-month contracts with the possibility of renewal depending on performance and funding.
The successful candidate will teach fundamental undergraduate mechanical engineering courses. A specialization in one or more of the following areas is preferred: controls, design, heat transfer, instrumentation, kinematics, or thermodynamics. Experience in teaching freshmen, experience in mentoring students, and laboratory expertise will be valuable. Preference will be given to candidates with industrial and/or teaching experience. The candidates are expected to have excellent verbal communication skills. A master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
