Science/Health Sciences Librarian - Instructor/Assistant Professor

The Cullom-Davis Library at Bradley University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position as Science/Health Sciences Librarian. 

This position is responsible for collection development, reference and information literacy activities in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Physical Therapy, Nursing and Health Sciences.  In addition, the librarian is responsible for management and long-range planning for Interlibrary Loan.  The librarian is also responsible for hiring, training and supervising classified staff in Interlibrary Loan and assists with challenging ILL requests.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to general reference duties (as assigned), serve on Library and University committees, participate in regional library activities and develop library and scholarly activities commensurate with tenure requirements.

Required qualifications are an ALA-accredited MLS, minimum two-years of relevant experience in an academic or medical library with a strong background in the hard sciences or health sciences.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.  Preferred qualifications are supervisory experience, an academic degree in one of the liaison areas mentioned above and specialized reference or collection development experience.
