The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level starting in January or August of 2014. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising students, and attracting funded research. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications.
Applicants should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering. The position requires an earned doctorate with specialization in Asphalt Pavement, Transportation, or Structures. Knowledge of equipment, laboratory testing, and registration as a PE in any state are desirable. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
This position provides exceptional opportunities for individuals who wish to join a first-rate multi-disciplinary department with an active Center for Emerging Technologies in Infrastructure (CETI) with strong ties to major industrial partners and eminent internationally renowned universities. The CETI hosts Innovations Conferences on Asphalt and Transportation (http://icat.bradley.edu) and International Construction Innovations Conferences (http://icic.bradley.edu). The selected candidate will work with renowned faculty who have co-authored more than 20 textbooks. We offer unique opportunities to teach overseas through our study abroad programs in the UK, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Egypt, Jordan and other destinations. The department currently has 15 full-time faculty positions and approximately 275 students.
