Application Hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 1-4 pm; Thursday and Friday, 9-11 am

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative support to the College of Education and Health Sciences (EHS) faculty and staff; communicate with EHS students, faculty, staff and campus offices, providing information and assistance; monitor prerequisites; prepare placements for all field experiences, music and art education students; maintain computerized audits; maintain computerized files, records and information for data entry, spreadsheet and database management activities; prepare correspondence; budget and reimbursement responsibilities; perform other related duties as assigned.  In order to meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties and requirements to employees, determine and change starting times, quitting times and shifts and change appointment specifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three years office or related experience that demonstrates: ability to work independently; set priorities; perform detailed job tasks with accuracy; effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact with students, parents, University personnel and external constituents; ability to show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; work with sensitive information; editing and proofreading skills; use basic office equipment; proficient in computer operations and programs including word processing, spreadsheet and database management applications; knowledge of basic accounting procedures; ability to compose correspondence; create and run computer reports; analytical skills with ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures, etc.; handle multi-step processes; ability to work with periodic time table changes; coordinate and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and on deadline and ability to type 45wpm.

Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.  Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust.  Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
