Exhibit Opens October 3

An exhibition of the work of visual storyteller and educator Bill Frakes will be on display from October 3 through November 10 in the Heuser Art Center gallery at Bradley University.

Frakes also will present a lecture on November 9 at 6 p.m. in the Neumiller Lecture Hall in Bradley Hall. A reception with the artist will follow the lecture from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Heuser Art Center gallery. The exhibition, lecture, and reception are free and open to the public.

Frakes has worked in more than 138 countries for a wide variety of editorial and advertising clients, including Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola, Nikon, Mars, and Reebok. Editorially, his work has been featured in virtually every major general interest publication in the world. He has lectured at more than 100 universities discussing multimedia and photojournalism. He has received hundreds of national and international awards for his work, including Newspaper Photographer of the Year from the prestigious Picture of the Year competition, the Gold Medal from World Press Photo, and the Pulitzer Prize. Currently, he is on the masthead of Sports Illustrated.
