23rd Annual Winter Comedy Show To Feature DeRay Davis

The Epsilon Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at Bradley University will host a performance by comedian, actor and Chicago native DeRay Davis at the 23rd Annual Winter Comedy Show on Saturday, January 24, in the Renaissance Coliseum. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in the Bradley Student Activities Office in Sisson Hall. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for college students with an ID. Bradley students may attend for free.

Davis began his career on the comedy club circuit in Chicago, but quickly took his act national. His breakthrough came after winning the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition. Davis has performed all over the United States and also appeared in such films as “Barbershop” and “21 Jump Street.” He can also be heard on two Kanye West albums. Davis appeared as the opening act on the hugely successful Cedric the Entertainer Tour.

Comedian Wil Sylvince will open the show. Sylvince is one of the most explosive comedians performing today. He has appeared on Comedy Central, HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” and Showtime

“Together, DeRay and Wil are a phenomenal comedic combination, and we cannot wait to see them perform at Bradley,” said Rasheed Habler, the president of Bradley’s Alpha Phi Alpha chapter.
