2nd Annual Steiner Symposium on Sports Communication

Some of the nation’s biggest names in sports communication will gather at Bradley University for the 2nd annual Charley Steiner Symposium on Sports Communication November 15.

The event's namesake, Charley Steiner (four-time Emmy Award winner, National Radio Hall of Fame inductee, LA Dodgers play-by-play announcer, and Bradley alumnus) plus play by play announcers Len Kasper (Cubs) and John Rooney (Cardinals), ESPN's John Walsh, and female sportswriting pioneer Diane K. Shah will be among the symposium participants.

There will be several sessions that are all open to the public covering topics including Women in Sports Media, The Evolution of ESPN’S Sportscenter, and MLB Play-by-Play to name a few.

There will be several sessions that are all open to the public covering topics including Women in Sports Media, The Evolution of ESPN’S Sportscenter, MLB Play-by-Play,and Team USA: Paralympics and Beyond featuring four athletes who represented Team USA the Paralympic Games in Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, and most recently in Rio 2016.
