Two student-authored research projects were selected from among more than 575 submissions for awards by Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society.

Kailey Simons, Brett Hoffman, Clara Tostovarsnik, Danielle Lewis, Casey Grage, Weston Edwards and Marina Palakeel collaborated on a project sponsored by Dr. Lane Beckes titled “Reinforcement Schedules and the Formation of Attachment Associations.”

Dana Sautter, Jenny Smith, Greg Baker, Amber Garrison and Lauren Thompson were recognized for their work with Dr. Tim Koeltzow titled “Repeated pairing of cocaine with an anxiogenic environment impairs the acquisition of conditioned place preference, but promotes behavioral sensitization in chronically food-restricted rats.”

Students will receive their awards at the Midwestern Psychological Association’s annual meeting in April in Chicago.
