Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band To Perform Spring Concert

Dr. David Vroman will lead the Bradley University Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band in a Spring Concert on Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Tickets are $5 for adults and free to students. Tickets are available at the door prior to the concert or in advance by contacting the Cultural Events Box Office at 309-677-2650.

The Symphonic Band will perform “Dedicatory Overture” by Clifton Williams; “Perthsire Majesty” by Samuel Hazo; “Earthdance” by Michael Sweeney and “The Little English Girl March” by Davide Delle Cese.

The Symphonic Winds, comprised of 50 members, is the top wind band at the university. They will perform “March from Symphonic Metamorphosis” by Paul Hindemith; “Chester” by William Schuman; “Rest” by Frank Ticheli; “Rejouissance” by James Curnow and “Windsprints” by Richard Saucedo. Senior Sarah Long, a music education major from Lisle, Illinois, will conduct “Rest.”
