Peoria, IL – February 13, 2015 – Maggie Sloter, a junior majoring in Music Performance at Bradley University, will present a trombone recital on Friday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. The performance is free and open to the public.
The recital will feature an array of different styles of music, including a flute/trombone duet and a jazz set in which she will be singing, as well as playing. Compositions by Pryor, Serocki, Buss and Arnold will be featured.
Sloter is the daughter of Jeff and Molly Sloter of Peoria and is a 2012 graduate of Richwoods High School. She is a student of Ryan Miller of the Bradley Department of Music. She plans to pursue a career in performance. She also hopes to stay actively involved in community theater as a pit conductor as she has become involved in conducting and playing many local shows in the past two years.
