BU Mentor Program in LinkedIn

Many college students begin their post-graduation education experience with limited "real world" knowledge about the career fields they ultimately would like to pursue. Recognizing this, the Smith Career Center has developed a network of BU alumni, parents, and friends willing to assist students by sharing information about their professions. The BU Mentor LinkedIn group provides a means of connecting students with these volunteers.

BU Mentor volunteers can assist students by providing one or more of the following:
  • Career information/Industry information (How to use a specific degree)
  • Informational interviews
  • Job shadowing
  • Practice/mock interviews
  • Employer information
  • Employment leads (internship or full-time)
  • Relocation information
The Smith Career Center uses LinkedIn to manage the BU Mentor program. To volunteer as a BU Mentor, please submit this pre-registration form below or go to LinkedIn.com and search for the group, "Bradley University - BU Mentor Program". Once you reach the group site, you will be able to submit a request to join. Bradley students, interested in reaching out to BU Mentors, will also submit a request to join the group. After confirmation, students will be able to connect with BU Mentors through LinkedIn regarding career information, job shadowing opportunities, etc.
