SCC Career Peer Advisors (2009 - 2010)
Our SCC Career Peer Advisors are valuable assets for meeting the needs of the Bradley community. They hold regular walk-in hours to provide help in the job and internship search, reviewing and improving resumes, assisting with online applications, and refining interviewing skills. The Career Peer Advisors also develop, market, and conduct specialized workshops, panels, events, and employer visits for students groups across the Bradley campus.

Major: Electronic Media
Hallie is a Senior at Bradley University from Skokie, IL. She is majoring in Communications and minoring in Photography. In addition to her studies at Bradley she also spent four months studying her Communications & Photography in Florence, Italy. Outside of the SCC she has been a member of ACBU for three years and is currently a Music Live! Co-Coordinator. She has been working at the Smith Career Center for three years and is looking forward to a new year at the center and to helping Bradley students in their career searches.

Major: Social Work
Jen is a current senior Social Work major, Sociology minor. On campus she is involved in Kappa Delta Sorority, BUSS, Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Student Green Electronics Campaign. She has worked within the Smith Career Center since freshman year and also goes back to Lifetime Fitness on breaks and summers to teach and manage the swim lesson program. After graduation this spring, she plans to attend graduate school to obtain her Master's in Social Work with a concentration in either Children and Family Services or Mental Health.

Major: Business Management
Ripki is a senior majoring in Business Management & Administration major and minoring in Spanish. On campus, she is the Vice President of her service sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, benefiting the children of St. Jude Hospital. She is also an active member of Bradley's honors co-ed business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta. Ripki has been fortunate to work at the Smith Career Center since January 2008 as a Student Worker. Recently, she has become one of six Career Peer Advisors and focuses on assisting students in the Foster College of Business Administration. Through working at an elementary school during Ripki's high school career and at a special needs camp this past summer, she hopes to one day manage a non-profit organization benefiting impoverished children.

Major: Business Management with HR Concentration
Minor: Professional Sales
Throughout the past 4 years as an undergraduate student at Bradley University, Dan has received exposure to career services through various professional and student experiences. Professionally, he has interned for U.S. Cellular and RLI Insurance Corporation both in the Human Resources function. In these roles, he has performed several professional interviews, screened resumes, and conducted a labor analysis. On campus, Dan maintains a heavy involvement with the Foster College of Business Administration and Bradley's chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). He also served as a Resident Advisor for three different residence hall floors, and facilitated various events through an affiliation with the Association of Residence Halls. In the coming year, he hopes to land an entry-level management or Human Resources position at a reputable company, while sharing his knowledge and passion for career services.

Ana is a senior student majoring in Marketing and minoring in Sociology. During her college years, she has interned with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Target Stores. This year she is serving as a Career Peer Advisor for the Smith Career Center focusing her outreach to minority organizations around campus. Outside of the classroom, she is involved in Kappa Delta Sorority and is the current Vice-President of the University's Panhellenic Council. She enjoys spending time with friends and her family and likes learning about other countries and different cultures. Ana recently accepted a full-time Executive Team Leader position with Target Stores. Upon graduation, she will begin training for her position and will be placed in the Central Illinois area.

Megan is currently a senior at Bradley majoring in Accounting and minoring in Spanish. Some of the activities she is involved with on campus include her social sorority and Order of Omega. Megan has been working at the Smith Career Center since her freshman year and also is currently work part-time at A. Lucas and Sons Steel. Last year, she did an internship with Caterpillar through which she gained a lot of valuable experience. In her free time, Megan enjoys volunteering with PACE, which hosts several events annually for the Peoria area.
