SCC Career Peer Advisors (2010 - 2011)

Our SCC Career Peer Advisors are valuable assets for meeting the needs of the Bradley community. They hold regular walk-in hours to provide help in the job and internship search, reviewing and improving resumes, assisting with online applications, and refining interviewing skills. The Career Peer Advisors also develop, market, and conduct specialized workshops, panels, events, and employer visits for students groups across the Bradley campus.


Natalee Runyan Name: Natalee Runyan
Major: Public Relations
Minors: Marketing & Business
Served as a Career Peer Advisor during the Fall 2010 semester

Natalee is a senior majoring in Public Relations, with minors in Marketing and Business. She is currently an intern in the Marketing Communications & Research Department at Illinois Mutual, where she has worked for the last two years. In the past Natalee has held internships with Caterpillar, the Peoria Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Jay Goldberg Events. On campus she is involved with ACBU as a SERF co-coordinator and plans the major fall and spring concerts at Bradley. Natalee also works as an event coordinator for Late Night BU.

Mary Zalinger Name: Mary Zalinger
Major: Health Science
Minors: Business & History

Mary is a Senior Health Science major with a minor in Business Studies & History. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and the President of the Panhellenic Council. This is Mary's second year on the Council, where she previously held the position of Director of Academics. Mary is a current member of Order of Omega, Motor Board, and also serves on the Student Advisory Committee. Upon receiving her degree she plans to attend graduate school for Physical Therapy.

Jacqueline Seddon Name: Jacqueline Seddon
Major: Advertising
Minors: Marketing & Sociology

Jacqueline is a Junior majoring in Advertising, with minors in Marketing and Sociology. She is involved on campus as the Vice President of American Advertising Federation, the Publicity Chair for Relay for Life, a member of SONOR Marketing and Advertising Club, and also with Fashion Focus Club. She has been working with the Smith Career Center for three years and has gotten the chance to participate in many of the career related workshops and fairs held each year. Upon graduation, Jacqueline hopes to attend graduate school while pursuing a career with an advertising agency.

Lindsey Vaught
Name: Lindsey Vaught
Major: Accounting 3:2
Concentration: Internal Auditing
Walk-in Hours: Monday's, Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Lindsey is a first year Senior in the Accounting 3:2 Master's program, with a concentration in Internal Auditing. She is involved on campus as the Vice President of Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity, the Vice President of the Student Business Leadership Council, and the Secretary of Bradley Toastmasters. She is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Young Professionals of Greater Peoria, and the Illinois CPA Society. Lindsey interned with Clifton Gunderson LLP for two years in the Federal Tax Consulting Services Department. This semester, along with working as a Career Peer Advisor, she will be interning with Kuppler and Associates as a Tax Intern. This summer, she will be interning with ADM Internal Audit. Upon graduation, Lindsey hopes to pass the Certified Public Accounting exam and work in the public or private sector of accounting.

Mical Amanuel Name: Mical Amanuel
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Walk-in Hours: Friday's, Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Mical is a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. During her college years she has interned with John Deere and completed two REUs (Research Experience for Undergraduates) through California State University and Illinois Institute of Technology that focus on students wishing to pursue Masters degrees and PhDs. On campus Mical is involved with the Mechanical Engineering department, where she conducted research under Dr. David Zietlow and currently works in the Jobst Machine Shop. Mical is also active with Engineers Without Borders. She hopes that in the future her Mechanical Engineering career will provide the opportunity to help people in developing nations.
