Bradley University’s Office for Teaching Excellence and Faculty Development presents the 16th Annual Student Scholarship Exposition.

Students will display their scholarly works in research and creative achievement in front of faculty, peers, colleagues, and the general public at the Sixteenth Annual Student Scholarship Exposition on Friday, April 4, 2008 in Bradley Hall from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. The Exposition will be open for poster viewing on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. A publication will be available to all attendees that includes abstracts for each project, poster locations, and an oral/demonstrative presentation schedule.

This event recognizes and promotes student scholarly works and celebrates collaboration among faculty and students within and across disciplines. This year’s Expo will showcase nearly 100 student collaborative undergraduate and graduate projects in every discipline.
The Student Scholarship Exposition is sponsored by the Office for Teaching Excellence and Faculty Development (OTEFD). The office facilitates growth and improvement of students, faculty, and staff through research and grants.


IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES
March 7, 2008: Submission of the Intent to Participate form.

March 14, 2008: Submission of Abstract (no more than 250 words) in Microsoft Word 12 font via e-mail to otefd@bradley.edu.

April 2, 2008: Poster location assignments available online at www.bradley.edu/otefd

April 3, 2008: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Set-up of posters in Bradley Hall

April 4, 2008: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Exposition (participant(s) should be present)

April 7, 2008: 8:00AM-12:00PM Take down posters in Bradley Hall

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Presentations are expected to be in poster format; however, a limited number of oral or other demonstrative presentations will be selected. If your project is better represented through an oral or demonstrative presentation, please submit a short explanation of your project along with your Intent to Participate form. Once oral and other demonstrative requests have been reviewed and selected, a notification will be distributed via email. Projects not selected for oral presentations will automatically be placed in the poster category and will be so informed.

Space Requirements: Each project will have a designated space that includes a 4’x6’x3/16” black foam board and easel. Tacks to display your poster will be available on the set-up day and the day of the event. No tape or adhesives are allowed for attaching your poster to the foam board display. All projects must fit within the provided space. 6’ tables are available on a requested basis and require prior approval by contacting Kim Willis at 677-4118.

Note: You may set up your poster the day prior to the event (4/3/08) from 8:00AM to 5:00PM or on the day of the event (4/4/08) from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. The doors will be open for public viewing starting on April 4th at 3:00PM and continuing through the weekend. Do not leave personal items in the building as security is not available. Bradley University is not responsible for any lost or stolen items over the duration of the exposition.
