Nicole D. Meyer, a Peoria-native, is the Director of the Pre-Law Center of Bradley University. Prior to her appointment at Bradley, she was an attorney with the law firm of SmithAmundsen, LLC in Chicago. For several years, Ms. Meyer devoted her career in civil litigation primarily to the representation and defense of trucking companies in commercial transportation cases. She practiced law in the State of Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
Prior to working for SmithAmundsen, Ms. Meyer clerked for two judges at the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. There, she dedicated her time to analyzing motions heard before the court and assisting in drafting court opinions.
Ms. Meyer received her J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she spent much of her time in the “Death Penalty Clinic,” investigating and helping defend capital cases. She received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with highest honors.
Ms. Meyer is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association.
