The Bradley Advantage

You can train for career onstage as a performer, in the classroom mentoring young musicians and behind the mixing board in a recording studio through the music department, which is part of the Slane College of Communication and Fine Arts. A general music degree gives you a music foundation for lifelong enjoyment and performance. You also can pursue degrees in music business, composition, education, music and entertainment industry and performance. Additionally, you can combine music with a second major of your choice. As a member of the music department, you can travel nationally or internationally with six smaller ensembles, five bands, three choirs or the orchestra. Performance scholarships are available if you participate in the ensembles. Additionally, you can major in music even if you have other career interests.

Successful Outcomes

Bradley’s music degrees successfully prepare you to enter the workforce or attend graduate school. Most recent graduates found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation. They’re working for organizations such as Walt Disney Company, Florentine Opera Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Yamaha. Music education majors are employed by school districts across the country.
