Studen Scholarship Exposition is April 13
Peoria, IL . . . April 12, 2006 . . . Student and faculty
research and creative collaborations will be exhibited during
the 14th Annual Student Scholarship Exposition on Thursday,
April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Michel Student Center
ballroom at Bradley University. The exhibition is free and
open to the public.
Fifty undergraduate projects in disciplines including fine &
performing arts, communications, humanities & social sciences,
biological sciences, psychological sciences, physical
sciences, health sciences, family & consumer sciences,
mechanical engineering, electrical & computer engineering, and
industrial & manufacturing engineering & technology will be
included in the exposition. Twelve graduate projects will be
shown.
The Exposition is designed to recognize and promote student
scholarly works while demonstrating the efforts to the campus
community. A panel of faculty members will judge projects and
award a first place prize of $500 for graduate projects and
first ($350) and second ($150) prizes for undergraduate
projects. Past project winners included research in medical
3-D imaging, child abuse identification methods, effects of
cocaine on rats, and analysis of musical pieces.
The Student Scholarship Exposition is sponsored by the Bradley
Office of Teaching Excellence and Faculty Development, which
facilitates student and staff growth and improvement through
research and grants.
