Artist to give lecture April 10
Peoria, Illinois...April 8, 2003... Carmon Colangelo, artist,
professor, and director of the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the
University of Georgia, will present a lecture entitled,
"Phantasmagoria and the Fountain of Youth," on Thursday, April
10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Caterpillar Global Communications
Center, room 126, on the Bradley University campus.
Colangelo has served as a visiting artist and has lectured
widely. His work has been featured in a number of solo and
group exhibitions across the United States.
He is best known for his multilayered prints, drawings and
mixed-media works. His work is in the permanent collections of
the Whitney Museum of American Art, National Museum of
American Art, Florida State Art Museum, New York Public
Library, Museo National del Grabado in Buenos Aires, Butler
Museum of American Art, Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University
Museums, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and Huntington Museum of
Art.
The lecture, part of the Visual Voices Lecture Series, is free
