Bradley Theatre to present "Treasure Island" children's show
Peoria, Illinois . . . December 8, 2003 . . . Bradley Theatre will
continue its special children's theatre tradition with
performances of Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island," on
January 22, 23, 24 and 25 in the Hartmann Center for the
Performing Arts on the corner of St. James and Elmwood Streets
on the Bradley campus.
Pirates, sea battles, and buried treasure await to seize the
imagination of young audiences and sign them on to Long John
Silver's treacherous pirate gang. Only the brave Jim Hawkins,
Captain Smollet, and the fearsome Ben Bola can save them from
walking the plank in this high-spirited, interactive adventure
that allows everyone to be a buccaneer for a day.
"Treasure Island" will be performed on January 22 at 7 p.m.,
January 23 at 9:30 a.m., 1 and 7 p.m., January 24 at 2 and 7
p.m., and January 25 at 2 and 4 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults
and $5 for students and children and can be purchased by
calling the Cultural Events Box Office at 677- 2650.
