Four named to Bradley Board of Trustees
Peoria, Illinois . . . February 5, 2003 . . . Four alumni recently were
elected to serve on the Bradley University Board of Trustees.
Carl M. Birkelbach, Robin L. Kelly, Judson C. Mitchell, and
Larry D. Richman were each appointed to a 6-year term on the
Board.
Mr. Birkelbach is the chief Executive Officer of Birkelbach
Management Corporation in Chicago, and since 1974, has been
the host of The Stock Market Observer television program. He
graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
business management and administration. He has served on the
Foster College of Business Administration's National Council
of Advisors, is an active member of the Chicago Alumni Network
Council, and has been a member of the Bradley Council since
1997. He was recognized with the Lydia Moss Bradley Award in
2000.
Ms. Kelly is director of Community Relations for the Village
of Matteson, Illinois and, in November, was elected to
represent District 38 in the Illinois General Assembly. She
received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 1978 and a
master of arts in counseling in 1982. She serves on the Black
Alumni Scholarship Committee and has been a member of the
Bradley Council since 1997.
Mr. Mitchell is Vice President for Human Resources at DePaul
University in Chicago. He is a member of the College and
University Personnel Association and the Society for Human
Resource Management. He is a football official with the
Gateway Athletic Conference. He received a Bachelor of
Science degree in sociology in 1966 and the Master of Public
Administration degree from Governors State University in 1990.
He was a founding member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at
Bradley.
Mr. Richman is Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking at LaSalle Bank in Chicago. He has served on the Bradley Council since 1997 and is a member of the Foster College of Business Administration's National Council of Advisors. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing in 1974, and MBA from Indiana University in 1976, and a graduate degree in credit and financial management from Stanford University in 1988.
