Roberson named Associate Provost at Bradley University
Peoria, Illinois Ð June 25, 2003 Ð Bradley University has
named Angela "Nickie" Roberson to the position of Associate
Provost for Enrollment Management. The Associate Provost
reports to the Provost and is responsible for leading the
enrollment management efforts for undergraduate admissions and
financial assistance policies, programs, strategies, and
operations.
"Nickie is well-known and well-respected in the State and
region by education and enrollment management professionals.
That, coupled with her passion for Bradley and her knowledge
and understanding of the University's unique qualities, make
her the right choice as Associate Provost," said Dr. Stan
Liberty, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Roberson has more than 20 years experience in higher education
enrollment management strategies and operations. Her career
at Bradley began in 1985, and she has held the positions of
Associate Director of Enrollment Management for Undergraduate
Admissions, Interim Executive Director of Enrollment
Management, and Director of Admissions. Previously, she held
positions in admissions for Northern Illinois University and
the University of Illinois at Chicago.
"I am very excited about my new responsibilities and look forward to working with the staff to develop programs and strategies to help students learn more about the high quality programs that set Bradley apart as an extraordinary value in higher education,Ó said Ms. Roberson.
Ms. Roberson holds the B.A. from Mundelein College in Chicago and the Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago. She has been an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, serving on a number of committees and making presentations at NACAC conferences. She is past president of the Illinois Association for College Admissions Counseling and received that organization's Patricia A. Kasowski Recognition Award earlier this year.
Roberson is an application reviewer for the National Merit Scholarship
Program and is a member of the ACT
Midwest Research Advisory Council as
well as the Illinois ACT executive
council. Locally, she has been a
member of the Tri-County (Peoria)
Urban League Tomorrow's Scientists,
Technicians & Managers advisory
committee since 1986 and, for a number
of years was active with the Central
Illinois Agency on Aging.
