Bradley Women's Choir plans concert
Peoria, Illinois Ð March 25, 2003 Ð The Bradley University
Women's Choir, under the direction of Dr. Kerry Walters, will
present a concert of music for treble voices entitled When I
Fall In Love, on Monday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine
Music Center, located at 1417 W.Barker Avenue.
The program will include music about the many aspects of
romantic love. Selections will include madrigals, musical
theatre numbers and contemporary works. The concert also will
feature ORCHESIS, the Bradley dance company, which will dance
several of the pieces. Pianist Ramona Carlyle will accompany
the group.
The BU Women's Choir was established in 1990 to provide young
women at Bradley with the opportunity to sing music especially
written for treble voices in an atmosphere of collegial and
congenial music making. The group is made up of both music
majors and those majoring in other fields of study.
Dr. Walters, associate professor of music, teaches voice and
music education, and conducts the Bradley University Opera
Workshop.
