Bradley Chorale to present spring concert

Peoria, Illinois . . . March 3, 2003 . . . The Bradley University Chorale will present its spring concert on Sunday, March 30, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.

The Chorale will present a wide variety of styles of music from English Renaissance to Haitian, and will feature music with brass ensemble, both early Baroque and contemporary. The principal work on the program will be Norman Dello Joio's "To St. Cecilia" for choir and brass. The Bradley Madrigal Singers will also perform, including vocal jazz arrangements as well as music to Shakespearean texts.

The 45-member choir, directed by Dr. John Jost, has performed extensively across the United States and Europe, winning national and international recognition. Last year the Chorale performed for both the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference and the American Choral Directors Association Central Division Convention, and next year the Chorale will make a ten-day concert tour of Denmark and Sweden.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for students. For more information, call 677-2600.
