Student to give saxophone recital

Peoria, Illinois . . . March 11, 2003 . . . Timothy Karth, a senior majoring in music education at Bradley University, will present a saxophone recital in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue, on Saturday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m.

Timothy is the son of Kerry and Nancy Karth of Glenview, Illinois and a 1999 graduate of Maine East High School in Park Ridge. He is a student of Keith Zimmerman of the Bradley music faculty, and is preparing for a career in music education, directing high school bands.

KarthÕs recital will feature a wide variety of styles. From Baroque to classical, from modern to jazz, all genres of music will be played on alto and soprano saxophone. Composers featured are Vivaldi, Melvin Solomon, Paul Creston, J. S. Bach, erland Van Koch, Darius Mikkand and Dave Brubeck.
