Internationally acclaimed pianist to perform at Bradley
Peoria, Illinois . . . November 3, 2003 . . . Internationally
acclaimed pianist, Aldo Mancinelli, the first American to win
the coveted Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition,
will present a concert on Sunday, November 9, at 3 p.m. in
Dingeldine Music Center at 1417 W. Barker Ave. on the Bradley
University campus. The concert is free and open to the
public.
The program will include pieces by Domenico Scarlatti, Ludwig
van Beethoven, Charles Griffes, Claude Debussy, and Serge
Prokofieff.
Mancinelli has performed more than 950 concerts throughout
Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the United States.
He has played at Carnegie Hall and has been the guest soloist
with major symphony orchestras including the Hague
Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Cleveland
Orchestra, the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, and the Dallas
Symphony.
Mancinelli graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in
Oberlin, Ohio, and the Academia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
