Bradley Women's Choir in concert December 2
Peoria, Illinois . . . Peoria, Illinois . . . The Bradley
University Women's Choir, under the direction of Dr. Kerry
Walters, will present a concert of music for treble voices on
Tuesday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Dingeldine Music
Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.
The program will include James McCrayÕs A Jubilant Song for
womenÕs voices and vibraphone, Daniel GawthropÕs There is
Sweet Music, and a Mark Hayes arrangement, SwinginÕ With the
Saints, as well as seasonal holiday music. Sophomore vocal
performance major Matthew Adams-Wenger will join the group as
baritone soloist on Ken BergÕs traditional carol arrangement
entitled Gentle Mary. Pianist Ramona Carlyle will accompany
the group.
The Bradley Women's Choir was established in 1990 to provide
young women at Bradley with the opportunity to sing music
especially written for treble voices in an atmosphere of
collegial and congenial music making. The group is made up of
both music majors and those majoring in other fields of study.
Dr. Walters is associate professor of music at Bradley where
she teaches voice and music education, and conducts the
Bradley Opera Workshop.
