European Union seminar to be held at Bradley
Peoria, Illinois ... October 27, 2003 ... A seminar
titled, "Next Stop: the EU" will be presented on
Monday, November 17, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in Baker Hall
room B52 on the Bradley University campus. There is
not cost to attend the seminar, but registration is
required.
On May 1, 2004, the European Union will open
its doors to 10 new members, many of them from
Central and Eastern Europe. The seminar will
focus on the ways a company should position
itself to take advantage of the changes, and
what business opportunities might exist as
these countries prepare to join the EU.
Program speakers Sandy Owens, senior
commercial officer of the U.S. Embassy
in Slovakia, and Scott Bozek, senior
commercial officer of the U.S. Embassy
in Hungary, will be available for
one-on-one meetings following the
seminar.
