Psychiatrist Usha Sundaram to give lecture at Bradley
Peoria, Illinois . . . October 16, 2003 ... Dr. Usha Sundaram "Swami
Dharmakeerti," a psychiatrist at the National Institute of
Mental Health Neurosciences in Bangalore, India, will present
a lecture titled "Chakras and their Psychological
Implications" on Wednesday, October 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the
Marty Theatre in the Michel Student Center on the Bradley
University campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Sundaram will discuss how yoga can be a practical and
effective approach to reintegrating the body, mind and spirit.
She brings the message that yoga is not a religion, but rather
a science that can help individuals reach the inner self and
rediscover potential for healing, wisdom and compassion.
A reception for the speaker will be held before the lecture
from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. in the Alumni Reunion Dining Room in the Michel
Student Center.
The event is sponsored by the Bradley College of Education and
Health Sciences, Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Committee,
