Psychiatrist Usha Sundaram to give lecture at Bradley

Peoria, Illinois . . . October 16, 2003 ... Dr. Usha Sundaram "Swami Dharmakeerti," a psychiatrist at the National Institute of Mental Health Neurosciences in Bangalore, India, will present a lecture titled "Chakras and their Psychological Implications" on Wednesday, October 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the Marty Theatre in the Michel Student Center on the Bradley University campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Sundaram will discuss how yoga can be a practical and effective approach to reintegrating the body, mind and spirit. She brings the message that yoga is not a religion, but rather a science that can help individuals reach the inner self and rediscover potential for healing, wisdom and compassion.

A reception for the speaker will be held before the lecture from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. in the Alumni Reunion Dining Room in the Michel Student Center.

The event is sponsored by the Bradley College of Education and Health Sciences, Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Committee, and the Office of Multicultural Student Services. For more information, call Dr. Chris Rybak at 677-3171 or Frances Cotton at 677-2646.
