Student to give violin recital

Peoria, Illinois . . . October 22, 2003 . . . Laura Johnson, a senior majoring in violin performance at Bradley University, will present a violin recital on Saturday, November 1, at 7:30 pm. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.

Some of the featured compositions in the recital are Beethoven: Sonata in F Major, "Spring," Sarasate: Romanza Andaluza and Spanish Violin duets. Admission is free and open to the public.

Laura is the daughter of Dan and Betty Johnson of Lowpoint, Illinois. She is a 2000 graduate of Eureka High School. She is a student of Marcia Henry of the Bradley music faculty, and is preparing for a career in performing and private studio teaching.
