Sculptor is Slane Scholar in Residence at Bradley
Peoria, Illinois...September 10, 2003... Ceramic sculptor
Bruce Howdle will serve as the Fall 2003 Slane Scholar in
Residence at Bradley University from September 18 to October
15. His work will be exhibited in the Hartmann Center gallery
on the corner of Elmwood and St. James Streets on the Bradley
University campus during this time.
He will present a lecture entitled, "Earth, Water and Fire,"
on Thursday, October 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Caterpillar
Global Communications Center, room 126, as part of the Visual
Voices Professional Lecture Series.
Howdle, who holds a B.S. degree from the University of
Wisconsin, a M.A. from Northwestern Arizona University, and a
M.F.A. from Arizona State University, is a ceramics lecturer
at the University of Wisconsin. His work has been featured
in exhibitions throughout the country and can be found on
display in a number of businesses including John Deere & Co.,
Mercy Medical Center, National Jockey Club, American Family
Insurance headquarters, McDonald's corporate office, and
Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
