Voice recital planned

Peoria, Illinois -- September 5, 2003 -- Jane Leathers, a Bradley University graduate student, will present a voice recital in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue, on Saturday, October 18, at 7:30 pm.

German lieder, opera arias and light jazz compositions will be featured on the program. Some of the composers featured are Schumann, Gounod, Gluck, Weill and Legrand.

Leathers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mallchok, Sr. of Parma, Ohio, is a BME graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. A mezzo-soprano, she is a student of Shirley Salazar of the Bradley music faculty, and is preparing for a career in opera performance.

Leathers is a music teacher with Peoria Public Schools.
