Biography

Dr. Kathleen J. Buchko is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Human Development, teaching graduate courses in group counseling, clinical mental health counseling, psychopathology and psychopharmacology, and counseling and aging, as well as an undergraduate course in professional-patient relationships and communication.  She is also the Director of the Counseling and Research Training Clinic at Bradley University.  Dr. Buchko joined the faculty full time in 1998, having been a part-time instructor in the department since 1994.

Scholarship

Dr. Buchko has published in several academic and professional journals in the areas of sports psychology, spirituality, and trauma.  

Service

Kathy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and regularly works with clients in private practice; she also has seven years of professional counseling experience in university counseling centers.
