Center for Student Support Services

Students studyingThe Center for Student Support Services works with faculty, staff, and administration to provide services to help retain students to graduation. The vision of the Center is to assist Bradley students to become confident, independent, and successful graduates. The Center offers a myriad of services, including tutoring and classes in study skills and time management and strives to help students with physical or learning challenges meet their educational goals by working with individual students to identify problems and offer possible solutions. It is the major link between academic programs and student affairs. The Center along with the Office of the Associate Provost for Student Affairs serves as the primary contact for Bradley parents.

The Office for Student Accessibility

The Office for Student Accessibility provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations to students with physical limitations. Students requesting such services need to provide medical documentation of their limitation. If students have a health problem or family emergency during the semester, they should contact the Office so faculty can be notified and assistance can be provided to arrange for make up work.

The Center for Learning Assistance

Peer TutoringThe Center for Learning Assistance exists to help students increase efficiency with their study time and to ensure that their study skill abilities equal the challenge of college education. To fulfill this goal, the Center provides students with the opportunity to learn new academic skills or to refine old skills to assist students with the realization of their academic goals. Among the services provided are peer tutoring, contract study tables, and study skills instruction. Study skills taught by the Center for Learning Assistance include listening, note-taking, reading, and test-taking skills, plus instruction on how to manage your time, avoid procrastination, and keep motivated. Academic support services are also provided for student athletes. The Center provides selected academic accommodations for students with documented learning disabilities. In addition, the Center offers special support for students on academic probation through the Turning Point Program.
