Academic Reinstatement Program
Students who have been academically dismissed and petition the Academic Review Board can contact the Center for Student Support Services for guidance in this process. The student should have received a letter from the Registrar's Office with two forms: Student Petition form and Departmental Review form. The student should contact his/her academic advisor or department chairperson and make arrangements for the completion of the Departmental Review form.
The Academic Review Board needs to see evidence of probable success. Therefore, a student should enroll in course(s) at a community college and earn a minimum of 2.25 GPA. The Academic Review Board will meet to discuss the student's petition and determine a student's reinstatement based on the student's personal statement, departmental review and the student's transfer course(s).
