ITC / NOC Staff To Present at NASBITE 2003
Spring 2003
All three members of the ITC / NOC staff will present at the annual North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) conference in San Antonio, Texas in April. The conference includes five tracks of professional development education for international professionals in the private, public, and education sectors. NASBITE's goal is to promote and enhance the involvement and competitiveness of small business in international trade.
Jim Foley, Director of the International Trade Center and NAFTA Opportunity Center is a past president of NASBITE and will be discussing the International Trade Certification program. Jim is the Director of International Trade Certification for NASBITE and is working to create a nation-wide "CPA-like" certification for international trade professionals.
John M. Kolmer, NAFTA Trade Specialist, will be conducting a five-hour pre-conference workshop on the NAFTA Certificate of Origin. This is John's popular NAFTA workshop that many of our clients will recognize.
Dave Williams, International Trade Specialist, is speaking on "Understanding and Applying the EAR and ITAR." The Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are the primary U.S. government export regulations for U.S. exporters.
