Bradley coach honored

Matt Esche, Bradley’s cross country/track and field assistant coach, was named Midwest Regional representative by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in December. 

A former University of Iowa athlete, Esche has been at Bradley for three years and helped the women’s cross country team finish in the top five at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship each year. He assists with both the Bradley Open and Bradley Classic cross country events and worked with the University to host the 2010 NCAA Regional. 



Blutcher named Lincoln Laureate

CECIL BLUTCHER ’13 received the Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Award in Springfield last November. The award is given annually to seniors from each of the four-year degree-granting colleges and universities in Illinois. Blutcher, a political science major, has won two individual national championship titles and three national team titles for Bradley’s speech team. He has worked as a summer orientation student aide and as a student admissions representative. Blutcher has appeared in many Bradley theater productions. In recognition of his accomplishments, he received a medallion, an honorarium check, and a certificate of achievement.
