Laura Herlovich ’79 earned two degrees at Bradley in Communications and in Secondary Education-English. She had four years of experience in the sports information office and four years in the Intramural Department. In 1980, she took a position with the Utah Jazz NBA team in Salt Lake City as their PR assistant. After four years with the Jazz, she entered the entertainment PR in Las Vegas with world-class prize fights, major headliners and concerts and gaming/hospitality diversifying her resume.
Herlovich opened the first Public Relations firm – PR Plus in Las Vegas. She served as President and CEO for 28 years guiding her clients including the NBA All Star game, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Palms Casino, Prince, the Pawn Stars, Station Casinos, Guns ‘N Roses, Mike Tyson and Feld Entertainment. In 2018, she reduced her client list to Boyz II Men, Gladys Knight, Paragon Gaming (Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino) and anything and everything Pawn Stars and sold PR Plus to her former business partner.
Herlovich has hosted more than 60 Bradley students as interns at her company in Las Vegas all staying at her home and has evolved that love of Bradley and giving back by teaching an Entertainment PR class during Hollywood Semesters sharing her knowledge over 40 years in the industry, her experiences, her contacts and her Bradley pride with these adventurous and motivated Bradley students.
