Bradley Speech Team Wins Again

September 27, 2017

The Bradley University Speech Team returned home victorious in its first tournament of the season at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. With only 9 of the 53 students competing, the team was able to bring home 12 event championships over the course of the two-tournament weekend, ultimately claiming the overall team championship besting Hastings College, United States Air Force Academy, and 17 other schools from across the nation.

"Beginning with a win is always a great way to start the year. Not only did the team do incredibly well, but we were able to get insight on the campus that will be hosting this year's American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament in April" said Director of Forensics Ken Young.

The team won championships in Persuasive Speaking (x2), Drama Interpretation (x2), Informative Speaking (x2), Duo Interpretation, After Dinner Speaking, Poetry Interpretation, Prose Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, and Communication Analysis.
