New President for PAWAC

Dave Williams, International Trade Specialist for the International Trade Center (ITC), is the new President of the Peoria Area World Affairs Council (PAWAC). Dave was elected as President-Elect in June 2002 and became the organization's president in June 2003.

The International Trade Center is a strong supporter of PAWAC and its mission to promote awareness and understanding of world events and issues in Peoria and the surrounding communities. Bradley University has also been a long-standing partner of PAWAC.

ITC clients will be interested in an upcoming PAWAC program featuring international trade guru and Peoria native Greg Rushford. He is the editor and publisher of The Rushford Report, a monthly publication on the politics of international trade and finance. He will be speaking at the Contemporary Arts Center on Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 5pm. His topic will be "Peoria: A Model of the Benefits of Globalization."
